For most people, Lou Ford (Casey Affleck) is just a Deputy Sheriff that patient and understanding. Lou was always trying to do a good job even though sometimes people think Lou is too soft for a law officer. Tenderness behind it, it turns out Lou kept a very dark past. Lou has a tendency to become killers. The symptoms of this mental disorder has emerged even since Lou is still small. When Lou was even almost went to jail if it was not Lou's brother came and confessed all the crimes committed Lou. Now, Lou has got everything. He has become a law enforcement duty and when she came home, there was Amy Stanton (Kate Hudson) who has been waiting for him.
