At the New York Comic-Con going on this weekend, Hasbro provided the first public look at a figure from next year's Transformers: Age of Extinction toy line. The leader class Optimus Prime toy does seem to indicate that Hasbro is keeping with their intent to simplify the transformation sequence, similar to the recent waves of Beast Hunters and Generations toys. It also seems to show that the "new" approach to the look of the movie version of the characters is very close to the previous three films. Still one figure is not a pattern so too early to draw concrete conclusions about the movie design approach.
